I have heard this album, which is a rather light collection of western covers and similar approaches of a mixture of rock/pop/funk/disco with a mention of Bonnie M on the front sleeve. It's not a real must have.
Never the less, the band has its interesting moments that makes it worth a reissue of their repertoire, something that has not been done yet. The above album is less interesting than some of the other albums I have heard.
Vol.1 for instance should be reissued for sure to start with:

1971년 그룹 『히식스』의 보컬로 데뷔했던 최헌이 몸담았던 두번째 그룹 『검은나비』의 앨범.
검은나비는 신중현 사단인 그룹사운드 『더맨』출신인 손학래가 결성한 그룹으로.. 신중현 계보의 그룹『더맨』 출신들과, 김홍탁 계보의 그룹『히식스』출신들이 만나 결성된 밴드라고 합니다.
그룹『더맨』출신으로는 손학래(오보에,색소폰), 김기표(기타), 이태현(베이스), 문영배(드럼)가 있으며, 그룹『히식스』 출신으로는 최헌(리드보컬), 김영균(보컬,키보드), 김인섭(트럼펫)등이었다고 합니다.
그룹 『검은나비』는 남성 솔로가수의 등용문으로도 유명했다고 합니다. 백두산의 유현상, 사랑과평화의 이철호, 도시아이들의 박일서, 김태화등이 검은나비를 거쳐간 가수들이라고 하네요.
검은나비 1집 앨범에서 크게 히트했던 곡 김홍탁 작곡의 《당신은 몰라》는 가수 임성훈이 최초로 발표했었고 그룹『히식스』에서 최헌이 부르기도 했던 곡인데...검은나비가 발표하고 나서 대중적으로 히트했다고 합니다.
나중에는 최헌이 솔로로 불러서도 많은 사랑을 받아서 최헌의 히트곡으로도 인식되어 있는 곡입니다.

The Black Butterfly was a group formed by Sohn Hak-rae, a member of the group sound "The Men" which is the Shin Ji-hyun division. It is a band formed by the members of the Shin Chi-hyeon genealogy group "The Man / The Men" and the Kim Hong-Tak genealogy group `"Hisix". 1948년 함경북도 성진 출신인 고인은 명지대학교 경영학과에 재학 중 미8군 무대를 시작으로 1960년대 말 '챠밍가이스' 등의 밴드를 만들어 활동했다.
이후 1970년대 초 밴드 '히식스(He6)'의 보컬 겸 기타리스트로 합류해 '초원의 빛'을 히트시키며 얼굴을 알렸다. 당시 김홍탁이 이끌던 히파이브는 미8군 무대에서 활동하던 최헌을 영입해 히식스로 팀 명을 바꿨다.

김홍탁 씨는 10일 연합뉴스와의 전화 통화에서 "아침 일찍 전화를 받고 안타까웠다. 최헌 씨는 국내에서는 극히 드문 허스키한 탁성을 지닌 보컬이어서 그룹사운드들이 모두 탐냈다"며 "현재 히식스 멤버 중 셋은 한국, 둘은 미국에 있는데 연락을 취하고 있다"고 말했다.
고인은 김홍탁이 미국으로 건너가며 팀이 해체되자 1974년 새로운 멤버 7명으로 구성된 '검은나비'를 결성했다. 히식스 시절 김홍탁이 작곡한 '당신은 몰라'를 다시 불러 크게 히트시켰고 1976년 새로운 그룹 '호랑나비'를 결성해 '오동잎' 등의 노래로 사랑받았다.
또 1977년에는 솔로로 전향해 1978년 '앵두', 1979년 '가을비 우산 속' 등을 연달아 히트시키며 절정의 인기를 누렸다. 인기를 등에 업고 서울 종로 단성사 극장에서 리사이틀을 펼치기도 했다.
1979년에는 고인의 히트곡을 영화로 만든 석래명 감독의 '가을비 우산 속에'가 개봉해 크게 히트하기도 했다.
고인은 1970년대 최고의 '로맨스 가이'로 통하며 1978년 MBC '10대 가수 가요제'에서 가수왕을 거머쥐었고, 같은 해 TBC '방송가요대상'에서 최고가수상을 타는 등 1970년대 중후반 절정의 인기를 누렸다.

이후 활동을 잠시 접었다가 1983년 그룹 '불나비'를 결성해 미국 팝가수인 버티 하긴스의 곡을 번안한 '카사블랑카'로 활동했다.
2000년대 접어들어서는 2003년 '돈아 돈아', 2006년 '이별 뒤에 남겨진 나', 2009년 '울다 웃는 인생' 등을 발표했다.
대중음악평론가 박성서 씨는 "최헌 씨의 목소리는 한국 사람이 내기 힘든 탁성으로 1970년대 당시 인기팝 '아이브 빈 러빙 유 투 롱(I've Been Loving You Too Long)'을 부르면 관중이 열광했다는 유명한 일화가 있다"고 설명했다.
박씨는 이어 "1975년 '대마초 파동'으로 트로트와 함께 가요계를 양분했던 포크그룹과 그룹사운드가 급격히 위축될 즈음 그룹사운드 출신들이 대거 트로트로 유입됐다"며 "최헌 씨는 대마초 파동으로 젊은 가수들이 대거 활동 금지됐을 때 조용필, 윤수일과 함께 록과 트로트를 결합한 음악으로 공백을 메우며 두각을 나타냈다"고 덧붙였다.
고인의 빈소는 광진구 화양동 건국대학교 병원 장례식장 202호에 마련됐다. 장지는 분당 메모리얼 파크이며 발인은 오는 12일 오전 5시30분.
