키보이스 - Key Boys / Keyboys
Historical facts that lead to He5 (- from Key Boys, Add4 to He5- ): (Folkie Jin) : "Kim Hong-Tak (1944~) was one of the 2 leadi

정훈희 - Jung Hoon-Hee (Chung Hoon-Hi)
This is a light but in fact great short (2->4 min songs) collection of pop/rock with very convincing warm and nice range of singing voice, nicely attractive songs perfect for repeated listed and with a great variety of well worked out and thoughtfully produced arrangements (mostly small and again thoughtful workout accents of strings including plucked arrangements or some brass, with solo electric leads or rhythm guitar with here and there some accompanying acoustic guitars o

Shin Jung-Hyun & Actions (Action's)
All tracks are fine tracks, 1 and 3 are even essential. I had written down the titles for the airplay on Psychefolk radioshow : 1, Woman In The Rain, 3, 17 girl hearts, 6 Old Place Whang Castle, 7, The Actions, 8 Seoul Nocturne, 9 Living Away from Home, Unrequited Love. Somewhere I also had written down elsewhere the following titles, which might come from a different album: 1 아가씨 좋와하시네 / You're good, lady ; 2 믿지를 마오 / Do not believe ; 3 영원히 사랑하리 / I will love you forever ; 4

모니카유 - Monica Yoo
Some tracks can be found on: 가요(歌謠) 박물관 / Music Museum: 220 Besl CD3- 21 일요일은 참으세요 / Pretty Sunday (1963) -ref. "Never On Sunday"- This is obviously light Western pop. Mixed origin Monica Yoo has more western looks which makes it easy for her to make the links to western styles even more easily. *CD4-8 서울에서 동경에서 / To Tokyo, from Seoul (1966) Of course the interpretation of this "nature boy" song in a jazzy setting worked perfectly well. I didn't find more songs, but on YouTu

이씨스터즈 / 이씨쓰터즈 - Lee Sisters
You can find some tracks here: 도미도 베스트 컬렉션 100 VOL.1 / 50-60 Domido * CD5 9 모래위에 적어본 이름 / Name written in the sand Lee Sisters had beautiful harmony vocals a bit reminiscent of Andrew Sisters. It is in that direction some of the tracks are performed with a warm sound of voices. Not much more than piano and an acoustic guitar rhythm (?) is heard. 가요(歌謠) 박물관 / Music Museum: 220 Best * CD3- 13 서울의 아가씨 / Lady from Seoul (1964) * CD3- 16 워싱톤 광장 / Washington Square (1963) -ref. 쟈니브라더스 - Johnny Brothers (Johny Brothers)
Tracks you can find here: V.A.: Music Museum 220 Best CD10-1 빨간 마후라 / Red muffler (1964) CD10-2 가슴을 펴라 / Stretch your chest (1965) Johnny Brothers are amongst the first male harmony bands. This song is arranged with strings mostly. The singers respond with whistles and hums too. The song itself is so much driven by rhythm the song almost becomes a march. It is not a miracle to realise how the band was quickly mobilized to make soldier marching songs during the Korean War. Th

봉봉사중창단 - Bong Bong (Bon Bon) / Bong Bong Quartet Band
Described by the traders where I found the album as sounding like Everly Brothers, this is a rather special 60s psych-pop (mostly cover) album (sung in Korean), especially because of its happy, sunshine-esque and often humoristic (if not at times slightly grotesque) approach in the vocal harmonies, including the usual pompompoms. Also the lush orchestrations to it are really attractive. A few tracks have nice fuzz guitar. A worthy album to trace ! 봉봉사중창단 – 봉봉 스테레오 앨범 Sung Eu

에드 훠 - Add 4 / Add4
"ADD4 Members are : Bass: Han young hyun ; Guitar: Shin jung-hyun ; vocal: Seo jung-gil ; drums: Kwan sun-kwan. It's his first group and Korean first rock group record!! Mostly songs are a little garage songs and especially Shin's guitar sounds are multi styled (even though he played also a Jazz and blues and Latin style approach). The reason is that he had to play at the USA army. Some songs have female chorus as he play a Package show with women dancers at these days.
