Key Boys / Keyboys
This is a light but in fact great short (2->4 min songs) collection of pop/rock with very convincing warm and nice range of singing voice, nicely attractive songs perfect for repeated listed and with a great variety of well worked out and thoughtfully produced arrangements (mostly small and again thoughtful workout accents of strings including plucked arrangements or some brass, with solo electric leads or rhythm guitar with here and there some accompanying acoustic guitars o

Several tracks can be found on: 가요(歌謠) 박물관 / Music Museum: 220 Best * CD3-17 나의 푸른 하늘 / My Blue Heaven (1963) With baritone sax and congas and vibes as instruments, and an Elvis-like voice, it is clear how this is a different and more Americanised early 60s pop in a succesful formula. The song is with English lyrics. * CD5-14 함께 가실까요 / Shall we get together (1966) Also this sounds like an American song but I do not know. I almost did not notice the singer was not singing in E

Oh Ki-Taek / Oh Kitaek
For a so-called compilation of 50s/60s songs I never expected such a rather cheap taste of Moog-like arrangements, with over-simplified electronic pum-pum-pum rhythms mixed with a separately recorded voice (in right channel) with artificial reverb. This bizarre direct modernised interpretation in a Trot style, like a rather circus-café jukebox-alike electronically arranged music still has a certain flair of charm because of the Korean melodies but of course, I cannot recommen
