The Pork Song double CD compilation is from the same area of influence, still is the winner of presenting the music of these days that was into song cabaret, satire and of course jazz. This extra CD is a welcome addition and completes it with a few extra tracks of this style while there are also overlaps, including some of the essentials. Very funny it is when we hear the singer clearly expressing a drunk, expressing some extra sound only a drunk expresses, by 김해송/ Kim Hae-Song. After a second strong one by the same artist we also have a duet in dialogue and harmony singing, sung in in Japanese-like style. Great it is when instrumental improvisations are alternating such songs and some clear jazz influence is noted in it. The jazz is clearly present in the next couple of tracks. The next track by 박향림/ Park Hyang-Rim is another classic fun song, with a grotesque kind of singing, and Walt Disney-like comics arrangements. I also need to mention how 김해송/ Kim Have Sung sings a Japanese-like sound song mixed with jazz where she adds extra vibrations in between the notes worth to notice. And don't forget the jazz in Kim Jang-Mi's track, Bad College Student. Nice to recognize is the sound of a bicycle bell incorporated in the next song by 김해송/ Kim Hae-Song. A recurrent pleasant element are humouristic laughs. Pretty nice album.

김해송 - 개고기 주사 (김다인 작사/김송규 작곡) 일제시대...천재 작곡가이자, 가수로... 또한, 불세출의 여가수 이난영의 남편으로 많은 인기와 화제를 모았던 김해송....작곡가로는 본명 김송규를...가수로는 예명 김해송을 써서 수많은 작품을 남겼지만 1950년 한국전쟁 당시 북한군에게 끌려 월북하면서 남에서는 거의 잊혀진 이름 김해송... 다 떨어진 중절모자 빵꾸난 당꼬바지 꽁초를 먹더래도 내 멋이야 댁더러 밥 달랬소 아, 댁더러 옷 달랬소 쓰디쓴 막걸리나마 권하여 보았건디 이래뵈도 종로에서는 개고기주사 나 몰라 개고기주사를 (뭐야 이건... 쳇) 아, 여름에 동복 입고 겨울에 하복 입고 옆으로 걸어가도 내 멋이야 댁더러 밥 달랬소 댁더러 옷 달랬소 쓰디쓴 막걸리나마 권하여 보았건디 이래뵈도 종로에서는 개고기주사 나 몰라 개고기주사를 (뭐야 이건... 에잉, 쳇) 아, 안경을 팔에 쓰고 아, 냉수에 초쳐 먹고 아, 해뜨면 우산 써도 아, 내 멋이야 아, 댁더러 밥 달랬소 아, 댁더러 옷 달랬소 쓰디쓴 막걸리나마 권하여 보았건디 이래뵈도 종로에서는 개고기주사 나 몰라 개고기주사를 (뭐야 이건... 에헴) ▣ 저도 『개고기 주사』의 정확한 의미는 잘 모르지만 여기저기 뒤져서 찾아낸 정보에 의하면 일단 '주사(主事)'는 지금도 공무원 직급중에 주사라는 직급이 있지만...일제시대 당시에도 하급 공무원을 부르는 호칭 정도가 된다고 합니다. 그럼 왜 '개고기'가 붙었을까...그 사연은 멀리 조선시대로 거슬러 올라가는데...당시에도 서울의 관리들이 승진을 하기위해 고위 관리들에게 아첨하기 위한 수단으로 개고기를 삶아다가 바치는 풍습들이 있었다고 하네요. 그런 풍습이 사람들의 입방아에 오르면서 일제시대에 이르기까지 공무원들이 정당한 실력으로 행세하지 않고 윗사람들에게 아첨을 일삼으면서 밖에 나와서 잘난척 하는 사람을 '개고기 주사'라고 불렀다고 하네요. 노랫속에 등장하는 개고기 주사도 잘난거 쥐뿔도 없으면서 종로바닥을 헤집고 다니면서 나 모르냐고 허풍떠는 모습을 묘사한걸로 보여집니다.

I don't know the exact meaning of "dog meat injection", but it has a reference to 'the main task' which is still called the injection position among the civil servants....

How did 'dog meat' get attached here? The story goes back to the Joseon Dynasty ... the customs of boiled dog meat as a means to flatter senior officials in order to get promoted. It is said that such customs have come to people's cubicles, and until the Japanese colonial period, public officials did not pretend to be good at their skills but flattered their elders, calling them out to pretend to be like “dog meat injections”.

I can see that the dog meat shot in the song doesn't have a good or bad effect and the singer still wanders around the bottom of Jongno.
