강흥식 / Heung-Sik Kang

Tracks can be found here:

유성기로 듣던 북(北)으로 간 가수들 / Singers that went to North Korea

11 님이여 잘 있거라 / Good night

12 이 잔을 들고 / Holding this cup

13 고향을 찾아가니 / Going home

14 주막의 하룻밤 / Overnight in the tent

15압록강 뱃사공 / Yalu voyeur (?)

I can’t say much about these songs which often kept close to trot. “Overnight in the tent” shows a warm voice to it. The slowly waltzing and somewhat filmic “Yalu Voyeur” is somewhat distinctively different. It has folk-like flavors through responding voices.
