Seeing that it comes from a satire song compilation it probably is exactly about causing that effect in a musical idea. The second track is more group based singing song with several cabaret-like effects by the band. It has also a few grotesque laugh in it.

The first song is old trot with beautiful voice which started with acoustic guitar but is alternated by other instruments like clarinet, and amplified violin and some accordion. I also hear the sound of a cricket in it as sound effect somewhere used in it. For the old style this is a very nice example. The second old trot track in singing style might be even better where the singer carefully jumps in intonations with her voice. An acoustic guitar gently plays a rhythm and a flute firstly plays moody melodies. It is a very beautiful sad song. It is almost natural as an animalistic cry, meant in a good sense.

The track after that is old trot music as well. The last track is acoustic guitar based trot. All these songs hang nicely together and provide a rewarding listen.

1919년 충청남도 론산에서 출생. 사망년대와 학력은 알수 없고 1937년에 울금향이란 예명으로 《태평》레코드에 박영호 작사, 리용준 작곡들인 《눈물의 경부선》, 《홍등은 탄식한다》를 취입하였다.
그는 이 두 노래를 취입하고 1938년에 경영난을 겪고있는 《태평》레코드회사를 떠나 《콜럼비아》레코드회사로 전속을 옮기고 남일연이란 본명으로 여러 노래들을 취입하였다.
그가 취입한 대표적인 작품들은 다음과 같다.
