We have to recognize his nice ability as a Singer/songwriter if you're a serious Korean folk fan. Welll he was not a genius but he tried to improve his music level and made a costant effort for it. What is important is that he lead the Korean folk scene boom in 70s and introduced Bluesy folk music for the first time in Korea. I think especially his string arrangement was the best in Korean folk scene and it was expressed on Folk harmony group "Sunflower" albums. Also he popularized Electric blues music to Korean music fans! Anyway So he is an important Singer song writer in Korean folk scene. His musis was chagned to bluesy folk more after his 3rd album (1977). He just said that " Welll I played music for a long time, in a similar way but it is more complicated. Music has to be more easy and simple. Blues music has to leave space!"

The studio approach isn’t different to how UK singer-songwriters were threated but I am sure the writer had enough to say in this. Most arrangements give most credit to acoustic guitars and soft voice. Whenever there are picking they are able to lead. In the second track there’s cello and some chamber arrangements to it. In the strummed songs different arrangements are added, like with a rock band (drums and electric bass), or extra harmonies (also by backing female vocalists) keyboard and an occasional brass arrangement. There’s a good 70s blues-rock feel on the 6thtrack worth discovering. One track (10) is only led by piano and voice. The last concluding track with handclaps is a bit more a sing-along track, almost like a children song, ending the album with a lighter note.
