Tracks with * I consider the most essential listens or classics, as tracks to check out for sure. It are tracks that makes them also very suitable for western radioshow airplay. Tracks that are only underlined can be considered fine tracks that you might better check out as well, but I am not sure how essential they are.
It seems that I forgot that I had this album in my collection. This duo clearly still comes from the guitar folk song tradition with harmony vocals. Never the less, this is already starting directly into the 80s sounds, which does no good to the overall effect of the music at all, for it entered already an era of commercialization and mainstream pop music. The harmonies itself are nice to hear and perhaps the songs themselves have potential(s), the arrangements does not fit to the folk core any longer. "Heartburn" has a rockier and more "progressive" approach of a starting sound, with keyboards and rock band accompaniment nearby, but then still remains within close range of the save mainstream area of folk pop harmonies. This makes most of the songs more forgettable as they could have been. "I am a Friend" has something of the folk core that remained somewhere intact so that you can notice it could have shown a different tendency. The commercial dominance however often is much too large not to be annoyed by it today. Also, its tendency to sing in a safe area is also too large given importance to have the necessary power to convince me this was a good idea to be.

[갯바위]는 당시 가요계에서 보기 드문 혼성듀엣팀 한마음의 2집 대표곡입니다.

하지만 3집 앨범 이후 이혼을 했고 한마음은 해체되게 됬네요.

87년 이혼 후 솔로로 [촛불켜는 밤] 등을 발표하며 7080무대에서 활발히 활동하고 계십니다.
2010년에 [촛불켜는 밤]공연하는 동영상인데 여전히 청아한 목소리와 통기타가 인상적입니다.

Kang Young-cheol (born 1957) is a pop singer but also a singer-songwriter who sang in harmony vocals and worked together as a singer-songwriter. Yang Ha-young and Kang Young-chul became lovers and even married. After the 3rd album however they divorced and the band was dismantled. Kang Young-chul still is a well-known singer-songwriter for '80s rock' and the song 'heartburn', remaining active in the 70s and 80s.
